Canceled Cruise

Well, Bill and I didn't spend the week in Mexico on our cruise, instead we helped our family and son get healthy. This has been a very tough week and it will be a road that needs to be traveled. God is good and family is strong! This October Break is about the family unit, no frills just back to the basics.

Mexican Riviera 2009 and 2011

Sunday October 9th, we set sail for the second time to the Mexican Riviera.  In 2009, we cruised on the Norweign Star to Cabo San Lucas, Mazaltan, and Puerto Vallarta and had a fabulous trip. It was our very first cruise and we loved it.  You are treated like a king and queen for 7 wonderful days. Who wouldn't like that!!  In three weeks we set sail with my sister-in-law Marsha and her husband Rich, who is Bill's brother to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary.  It should be even more fun this time because we have another couple to share the fun.  We are sailing on Carnivals Splendor cruise ship. Yes, it is the one that caught fire a couple of years ago! Hopefully they worked out the problems with the ship! We will be spending two days in Cabo and one day in Puerto Vallarta. The rest of the time we will be cruisin on the high seas with the most spectacular views. I am so thankful to have a week off from school every year in October to make these couple memories with my husband. Bill is always ready for a cruise because he is a bit frugal and loves to eat.  Next time, it will be a different cruise somewhere other than Mexico. I would love to take a cruise to either Hawaii or Panama for my 30th wedding anniversary in two years. We will see, God willing!

Japan 2008

This October vacation week started in 2008 when Bill and I took a trip to Japan for our 25th wedding anniversary with my brother and sister-in-law. My sister-in-law Ko is from Japan and she was our personal tour guide. We had a fabulous 11 days in 3 major cities in Japan. They were memories for a lifetime!
